Her background and education in the Early Childhood Years and Administration includes being a teacher, and a principle or director of five nursery/preschool centers. Janel’s experience as a trainer in the Child Development Association (CDA) courses allowed her to share her international experiences in education best practices from around the world. She is in the unique position to relate to parents, teachers, and administrators with her experience in having taught, trained, and led in the Canadian, EYFS British, and American curriculums.
While living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), she worked in preschool centers that had her take the lead in training and development of staff, as well as spearhead projects and award winning accolades. Giving Back
As part of this commitment, Maple Bear also believes in giving back in the countries in which we operate by donating charitable funds to local education initiatives impacting on children and families.
In addition to funding projects, the Maple Bear curriculum incorporates themes of social responsibility and community service so that students at Maple Bear schools are exposed to the concept and undertake age appropriate activities. The goal is to turn a whole generation of students on to the joy of giving back.
