Creating a Stimulating Learning Environment: A Guide for Maple Bear Early Learning Classrooms

Posted in Maple Bear Global on Monday, June 24th, 2024

In traditional preschool classrooms, colorful banners, toys, and decorations are common. Teachers follow a list of activities that are age-appropriate and meet expected concepts. However, in Maple Bear’s early learning classrooms, children are the focus of the curriculum. The classrooms have a clean structure in attractive colors that engage children. Teachers follow a child-oriented curriculum with a holistic approach, allowing the whole class to interact with learning concepts planned thoughtfully while letting the child explore at their own pace.

At Maple Bear Early Learning, students are offered varied and rich language experiences to encourage curiosity and interest in words. The curriculum emphasizes bilingualism utilizing different playing and music techniques for a fun experience. Student’s oral language development is promoted through singing, rhymes, and teachers reading stories out loud to associate the written word with the spoken word. Teachers use approaches that help them build a bond with the child while meeting age-appropriate concepts. At the start of the school year, students are presented with routines to establish order and make classroom operations smooth, rather than being reactive to negative behaviors.

MAPLE BEAR LITERACY EDUCATION

Classrooms are designed to help children develop new vocabulary and reading skills. Areas allowing easy access to books, magnetics, and puzzles with letters help achieve the goal of nurturing language skills for children to become literate before kindergarten. In addition to our units with thematic instruction, we provide event days that are thematic, such as Dr. Seuss Day, where teachers wear costumes and make a circle with the students reading books by the author, explaining the message of his books. Families are invited to participate in reading sessions at the school to help ensure students are exposed to language in different environments.

MAPLE BEAR PLAY-BASED LEARNING

Maple Bear offers a balanced classroom layout with hands-on activities and opportunities to foster communication between teachers and students. In early childhood preschool classrooms, students learn letter sounds, identify patterns, and read and write their first letters. Additionally, students learn through carefully prepared learning centers that have activities that are thoughtfully chosen to help with their cognitive development.

MAPLE BEAR TECHNOLOGY FOR EARLY LEARNERS

Compared to other early childhood programs, Maple Bear’s curriculum does not have children sitting down in front of screens. In the classrooms, they are surrounded by books, toys, and other materials, as well as given plenty of outdoor time to discover. Maple Bear believes that early learners must develop interpersonal relationships and motor skills and regulate their emotions; the most important factor for this is play-based learning approaches.

QUALITY ASSURANCE IN CLASSROOMS

For quality assurance, Maple Bear schools have access to an exclusive Canadian Faculty that is experienced in education and develops new curriculum, training materials, and methodologies. Trainers from the Faculty mentor teachers and introduce them to the latest pedagogies and instructional strategies. Every Maple Bear early learning center undergoes an annual inspection that covers everything from safety to classroom performance.

At Maple Bear, good classroom layout and excellent management are key to creating a positive learning environment. Caregivers and teachers are well-equipped to provide a great range of tools for the full development of each child, respecting their unique pace. Collaborative support from parents is essential to the success of the school and the students. Therefore, the school integrates families into the learning process by creating special events throughout the school year. Maple Bear classrooms are designed for children to feel confident, independent, and creative.
